The SASRAD CONTRABAND ENFORCEMENT KITS (CEK)® and the various accessories available offer the complete answer to search, detection and identification of contraband. The CEK® Kit has been designed by acknowledged experts and comprises a set of specialist tools and search instruments packed in a rugged transport and storage case ready for instant use in the field by Police – Customs – Border Patrol and other law enforcement agencies. The items in the kit aid in the search for concealed contraband of all types in confined spaces, whether vehicular, marine, aviation or cargo – this equipment will find drugs, weapons, currency, ammunition, WMD and also radioactive materials being illegally transported.

Incorporating the latest in technological advances the tools in this kit are specifically designed to be easy to use and give clear answers to the officer conducting the search.

It is important that the user of this equipment be trained in the use of each component – therefore as well as detailed paper manuals the kit contains DVDs which show how to use items packed in the kit. Training requirements are minimal, but if required, training programs are also available in the USA and overseas.

In order to allow maximum flexibility these kits have various options which may be selected by the users to best serve their operational requirements.

Digital Camera with Recorder & Viewer

Camera manufacturers change specifications continually and often without notice, so we cannot guarantee which camera will actually be supplied. What we do guarantee is that the camera will always be from a leading manufacturer and equivalent in performance and characteristics. The cameras are modified by us for use with SASRAD Fiberscopes with our Video Direct Eyepiece which means that a "œC" mount is not required. As our aim is to have the best recorded image or video possible our modification may change some of the published zoom and other specifications to ensure that the best image is recorded through the eyepiece.

We only use reliable and excellent quality cameras with built-in external viewers. The image may be viewed through the eyepiece of the camera or through the flip out monitor screen in full color (may also be used for standard videography if required). Original manual supplied with every camera.

SASRAD were awarded a contract for 76 search & detection kits for use during the G20 Summit held in Brisbane, Australia. These kits included the SAS-Hitech-Xpose hand held Contraband Detector – the Ultimate repairable fiberscope as well as other items for contraband search. Training of the search operators was conducted by the SASRAD representatives in Australia.

TheG20 membership comprises a mix of the world’s largest advanced and emerging economies, representing about two-thirds of the world’s population. The members of the G20 are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union. Leaders of those countries were in attendance. The number of attendees exceeded 4000 high level diplomats plus press and observers.

SASRAD CEK Contraband Enforcement kits contain everything needed to conduct security inspections of vehicles, boats, trains and planes. High Technology Xpose density meters®, Ultimate fiberscopes® or Videoscopes as well as the Kingsville Tire inspection fiberscope for inserting into vehicle tires to look inside without letting the air out.

The highly thought of SAS-Hitech-Xpose was manufactured to be the most rugged on the market, drop tested from one meter onto concrete on all six sides. The Xpose contains radioactive material and has been manufactured in compliance with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission safety criteria. the purchaser is exempt from any regulatory requirements unlike similar products where very strict licensing regulations apply. The Ultimate fiberscopes are the only ones manufactured anywhere in the World, where the end user can repair a damaged fiberscope locally and save considerable operational downtime, not to mention expenses, in returning items to the production unit for repair.
